Is it February already? Things have been shaking up behind the scenes here at The Metal Edge. Artist submissions for this year's Millvale Music Festival are open, submit here (don't reach out to me, I can't help you), the city froze over, and I was offered a promotion at my day job and will be transitioning into that position through March. So with all that, the happenings here have been slower than usual. The hope is to thaw out with the weather and bring the heat with Pittsburgh's best local music!
You can tune in to The Cutting Edge every day from 9am-10, 2pm-3, and 7pm-8 for one hour of the sharpest new metal tracks in the Pittsburgh metal scene. And things get dank around 4:20.
The Crucible Project
February's local showcase from The Crucible Project features Metal Edge artists Klaymore and Maxxout! We'll be involved, so come on our Saturday, February 16th for a night of local heavy metal. You can check out the video of Silence Follows performance at January's show below.

Chronicles of June
Pittsburgh alternative metal band Chronicles of June started releasing singles over on their Bandcamp at the end of last year. Check them out, they've got more to come. We've included Trespass and Afterglow featured in this month' Cutting Edge Featured playlist.
We were there at the Funhouse for Silence Follow's performance with Horus Maze. You can check out their set on YouTube as they play a selection of old and new tunes.
The warriors have succeeded in the first and arguably most important part of their plan to slay the Emerald Dragon, securing payment. Now that that's over with, they are safe to venture forth. You can check out our interview with Brutalitus about the release here. But hey, they're made their stretch goals and now we're getting a movie. Yup, a Dethlehem movie.
Karl Franklin as a Pittsburgh based musician, composer, and producer, and we're bringing some of his work into rotation this month.
